Application for Membership of Goring Social Club 2024

The Club welcomes applications from new members at all times.

Membership Prices for 2024:

• £8.00 for Joining Fee
• £28.00 for full membership
• £24.00 for those who are 65 years and over
• £5.00 for Junior members

How to apply:

Please complete an Application Form and pay a Joining Fee of £8.00 which includes a 5p Club Share. Application forms are available at the bar or can be downloaded here:

How to renew:

Our Membership year runs from January to December. At renewal time, an email will be sent to all members and notices will be placed on display in the club.

Payment can be by bank transfer or in person at the bar. Please email membership@goringsocialclub.co.uk if you have a query.

New Member Application Process:

Applicants must complete parts 1 and 2 of the form and must be sponsored by two fully paid up members of the Club who have been members for at least 6 months. The form must be signed by the applicant and two sponsors and submitted to the Club Steward along with the joining fee of £8.00. This procedure must be completed at least seven days before the next meeting of the Management Committee, which meets on the third Tuesday of each month.

If your application is successful and approved by the Management Committee you will be contacted by the Membership Secretary. On acceptance, you will pay the annual membership subscription which for 2022 is £28.00 for full membership, £24.00 for those who are 65 years and over, and £5.00 for junior members. If your application for membership is rejected then your joining fee will be refunded in full.

The submission of your application form does not allow you to use the Club. You will be notified in writing of the result of your application, and if successful, you should present the notification along and the appropriate membership subscription fee to the Steward. A copy of the Club Rule Book together with your membership card will then be issued to you.

Please note that subscriptions are payable from the date you are elected to membership by the Management Committee, and they must be paid within 28 days or the offer of membership will lapse. Membership subscriptions are renewable annually on the 1^st January and must be paid by 1^st February or your membership will be ‘in arrears’ and you will no longer be permitted to use the Club (Rule 12.1).
